False Engraving Technique with Oil Pastels + Digital Scan
I decided to realize this piece by utilizing a "false engraving" technique with oil pastels. This method recreates the features of traditional engraving, achieved through a process involving the transfer of a drawing or design from one paper to another using a pencil.
This process creates a dance of contrasts: the organic texture of the oil pastel juxtaposed with the sharpness of the pencil lines. The result is a captivating fusion of texture and form that invites viewers to explore every detail.
