This particular series began as a playful experiment, sparked by a project on quantum security. The challenge? To create a character that embodies the elusive nature of a quantum. Now, illustrating a quantum particle isn't exactly straightforward. After countless ideas and sketches, I found myself repeatedly drawn to the simple yet intriguing shape of an 'h'. While others might sketch stick figures, I became captivated by this form.
Why the letter 'h,' you might wonder? It symbolizes Planck's constant—a tiny but profound value (6.62 x 10^-34 Js) that was the first to explain why the atomic world behaves so differently from the reality we experience every day. This constant is more than just a number; it represents a gateway into the mysteries of quantum mechanics.
As I revisited these initial sketches, an idea took shape: why not personify this concept through Mr. Planck himself? And so, a new challenge emerged—using the rigid structure of the 'h' to craft a series of whimsical, summer-themed scenes.
Each illustration in this series is a blend of scientific curiosity and creative expression, inviting you to look closer, think deeper, and perhaps even smile at the playful possibilities hidden within the confines of an 'h'.
